Making money using your digital images has never been easier. Microstock photography sites have now made it possible for just about anyone to earn money from their digital images

Microstock photography allows users to sell their digital images for free. Users are encouraged to upload their digital images to a microstock site. Every time your image is downloaded by a registered user, you receive money. The amount you take home depends on the size and resolution of the image downloaded. iStockphoto, Dreamstime, Fotolia and Shutterstock are popular microstock sites.

Although the payout per picture is not that high, your earnings do add up. In fact, you can make thousands of dollars a month from selling many of their digital images.

Below are a few tips to get you on your way to making money through microstock photography.

Note 1: Image Quality is Important

A high end camera is not required to produce acceptable images. Any high resolution digital camera can do the job.

Note 2: Your Photos Will Be Reviewed

Each individual image submitted to microstock sites will be reviewed. Therefore, it is important to analyze your own images before submission. Also, make sure to read all the image terms and requirements before submission. Images are sometimes rejected. Today, many of the prominent microstock photography sites have tutorials that you can follow to help you take fantastic images.

Note 3: Subject matter is important

Content does matter. Certain subject matters, such as business and food images are popular. However, images of family and flowers may not make the cut. Do some research and see what image types are downloaded the most. This will give you an idea of what sells and potentially what to focus on.

Also, images containing people may require you to complete a model release form. Please read the terms and conditions of the microstock site before making such submissions.

Note 4: Portfolio Development Takes Time

To make a serious income from microstock sites, it is important to develop a portfolio containing a many high quality images. Also, make your images keyword rich. Relevant keywords will allow your images to appear more frequently in customer searches.

Also, submit your images to numerous microstock sites. This increases the probability of your images being downloaded.

Survey Spot is a survey company that offers surveys to take for cash. They are one of my favorite, mostly because they usually have good prices for their surveys. Mostly $1-$5, which is very good considering that some places only offer .50 cents per survey.

They allow you to cash out at only $5, which is extremely good compared to other sites at usually $20 or $30. They pay through a check or direct deposit. Survey Spot will send you survey invitations to your preferred email address. The surveys are specially chosen for you through your special profile survey that you take at sighn up to let them know more about you. By doing this you only get surveys that are going to allow you to complete them, and you won’t waste your time.

Survey Spot has other benefits, like drawings that they hold. I’m not sure how often but I think every week at least. Every time I take a survey for cash I also get to play a game, something like a scratch off ticket or slot machine, to see how many entries that I get in to the drawing. The prize is a cash prize, a pretty decent one too. I would definitely recommend joining this site.

Many of you out there might have a blog or two, maybe you have Adsense on it or possibly not. If you want to make money then you should definitely put some sort of ads on your blog. If you don't already have a blog, that's okay. They are very easy to create.

You can't just throw a blog together and expect to get rich from it. There are many tedious tasks that you have to go through in order to create a successful blog. If your really interested in blogging and making money from it then the place to go is The Keyword Academy. You can try it out for 30 days for only $1, you really can't beat that!

If you want to do it just for fun, which I also recommend, then start by going to Blogger and setting up a free blog. That is the nicest thing about making money this way, you can do it for absolutely no cost at all.

You'll need at the minimum five posts about the same topic, preferably something that you are interested and knowledgable about. I started my very first blog about indoor tanning, you can view this blog at tantips123.blogspot.com and see how far it has come in less than a year. I have to make very clear that making money from blogging is not something that comes quick. It takes a lot of time for you to build up any kind of credit with the search engines. Many other reasons, such as links, come in to play also but that is a completely different post. That is why I advise using The Keyword Academy to learn the basics of blogging.

The next thing is putting ads on your blog. Most people have heard of Adsense but that is not the only ad placement service that is available to use. For example there is Widgetbucks, both of these are great. You can use both if you would like. You pretty much just sign up for an account and follow the directions. Widgetbucks is a little bit easier at applying the ad to your blog because you don't have to put a big code in to your template, which can be agonizing and confusing, especially for beginners.

Well there are the basics of the basics. You can learn for yourself by trial and error or you can do more research, or go to The Keyword Academy, I highly recommend them, they taught me so much and I had already been blogging for six months. It is worth it and so is blogging, it just takes time. Don't give up like most people do because they are impatient.

Make Money With PTC Sites

One way of making money very easily is by PTC (Paid To Click) sites. I personally have never put much effort in to sites like these because I feel that it would take some time to build up a decent amount of money, being that you usually only get .01 to .02 cents per click.

However I do know other people who swear by this method and do very well in it. So I guess it is all up to the individual and what sort of thing they like. Doing PTC sites are allot less time consuming than survey sites but they also pay allot more per survey. So I guess the more time you put in the more money you make, makes sense.

Some examples of PTC sites are Neobux and Clicksense. These two are both great PTC sites and are pretty much the same. There is, however, one pretty big difference. Neobux pays daily and will pay through a verified Paypal account. Clicksense on the other hand is paid on a monthly basis and only in a check form that is mailed to your home.

One good thing about these kinds of sites is that you can purchase referrals instead of having to recruit them on your own. Of course you get a certain amount of their earnings. I suspect this is the way that people are so successful with PTC sites. If you had a few hundred referrals you could really rack up some cash.

Some of you might have noticed a banner at the top of my page (in the group of banners) that says Swagbucks. Well I thought that this was one that I had to designate it's own post because this "freebie site" is for each and every one of you reading this right now. Some of you probably don't feel like fooling around with online surveys or free trials to earn cash and prizes. Well, that's okay, but there is something out there for you! I'm sure that every person out there does searches at one time or another.

Basically, Swagbucks is an online search engine that rewards you with "swagbucks" every time you do a search through there search engine. They give the same results as Google so you are still getting good, legit information.

"Swagbucks are just like real money, pretty much. You can trade them in for anything from Amazon and Target gift cards to video games and other electronics. There are a few other ways to earn swagbucks too, like shopping. If you shop online you can go to the store through there web site and earn swagbucks for doing the exact same thing you would be doing anyway. They also have a section where you can trade things ink, such as video games and movies.

They have a toolbar that I'm sure would earn you even more points, but I have not even installed it yet and I am only a casual searcher and have already piled up a few dozen swagbucks. Did I mention that I have only been a member for less than a month?

So I would like to urge everyone to go sign up at Swagbucks. Make them your homepage(that's what I did) that way you will at least do one search every time you start up your browser. There are no tricks or catches. That is all you have to do is search and win!

Make Money By Being An Affiliate

One popular and great way to make money online is by being an affiliate. If you don't know what this is, it's a person who promotes another product or service and when you refer someone to that company you make a profit. The best part is it can be done absolutely free.

Now there are probably hundreds and thousands of affiliate companies out there. Some very popular ones would be ClickBank and Amazon.com. These two that I just named have numerous different products that they have available for you to promote. Others may just be, for example, a tanning lotion company and have an affiliate link near the bottom or top of their web site. If that is the case you can sign up for that affiliate program and you would just be promoting tanning lotions.

There are also many different ways you can go about doing this type of affiliate marketing. If you already have some sort of blog or web site then you are already ahead of the game. All you would have to do then is find some affiliate programs that offer the type of things that would fit in good with the content of your site, then maybe include some links in your side bar or underneath or any where in your post.

If you don't have a web site or blog, don't worry, they are not that hard to create and you can get a blog for free. If you want to go the free route, which I'm going to assume you do then you can go to Blogger and set up a free blog. You can also Google "free blogs" and you will find other places to start a free blog.

To start a blog you will first have to think about what type of product you want to promote. It is better if this is something that you are interested in or passionate about, but it doesn't have to be. Either way you do have to pick a topic that you will write about. To get some good ideas you can go to Blog catalog and view other peoples blogs. This is also a good way to promote your blog after you finish writing it.

An even better way to go about affiliate marketing requires you spend a bit of money but I think the benefits are worth it. Choose a product that you want to promote on Click Bank, order it, and then write a type of review about how well it worked, basically promoting it to the people who read your blog. That is even an idea you can do for your blog. Your blog title could be "product reviews" and then you can have different posts about the different products you have tried out and are promoting.

You should have a minimum of five posts on your blog. You will also have to promote your blog. Do this by submiting articles to free article submission sites , like Ezine Articles. Then you would put a link to your blog in the resource box at the bottom of your article. You can submit to Blog catalog and other blog directories. You can also find other blogs about similar things and ask the web master to do a link exchange with you. This is when one person links to another persons blog and then the other reciprocates, then each have a relevant link going to their site.

Of course you will always put a link on your page, to the product your promoting.The affiliate company will give you a special referral link for your products, so that when the person comes to the site and buys the product you will get a percentage of the earnings. You could even put a link to the product on your Myspace or Facebook page or if you like to Twitter, tweet about this new product you tried out. Just be creative, the objective is to get the word out to as many people as possible.

Affiliate marketing is a great way to make some extra income, if you get really good with it you could possibly supplement your income. Both of the companies that I mentioned at the top are a great place to start and they are free. You really don't have anything to loose. If you don't know anything about blogging at all you may want to do some extra research, or you can just jump in, that's what I did and now I'm writing about how to do it. Trust me it's all very easy, everything you want to know or have a question on is out there. Just Google it!

One great way to make money is by doing Incentivized Freebie Websites, or IFWs. Freebie trading is very easy and simple but a little hard to explain.This is also called GPT, which stands for get paid to. I'm sure you have seen the sites around,"get a free ipod". Most of you probably ignored them, thinking they were scams.

Actually these sites are not scams at all. They are able to do this because the companies pay them commissions for every person they bring to them. Just for example,you sign up on an IFW site and do a free offer for Netflix. Then Netflix pays the IFW site a certain amount per person that signs up on Netflix. Again that was just an example.

Luckily there is a web site that can get you started, Project Payday. They explain everything through guides and videos, they even have a mentoring program. The first 'trade' that you do, you have a personal mentor who assists you and guides you through it. You are guaranteed to make $50. You pretty much make money while your learning.

Project Payday claims on their site "realistic extra income for the average joe". This statement makes it very clear that you are not going to become a millionaire overnight. It is very nice to see a web site that is not making outrageous claims.

Project Payday is free, all you do have to do is complete a sponsor offer. Usually most offers are free trials, some you might have to pay a few dollars for shipping or some other small charge, but remember, you only have to do one offer and you can choose what ever one you want.

Project Payday also has a referral program, which is different from other referral programs that I have seen because the person you refer does not have to activate their membership. PPD will pay you for any one who fills out their name on the first page, regardless of whether or not that person completes an offer.

Project Payday includes an impressive set of training articles and videos that teache you how to make money from the various IFW or GPT sites. You’ve probably seen them around, the “get a PS3 for free” sort of site. What you generally have to do is complete one or more offers at the site, and refer some number of friends who do the same.

Project Payday shows you how to make money from these sites in three different ways.

1) Get paid to help others get their freebies.
2) Find sites that will give you cash in place of an item, and then pay others to help you get it
3) Pay others to help you get an item, and then sell it on Ebay

They also offer a mentoring program, where you can request a couple of mentors to be assigned. Mentors must be using the system successfully, so you know that you’ll get good advice.

Of course, you absolutely do not need to go through Project Payday to learn this style of money making. There are many forums where people are paying others constantly to do offers for them on these IFW sites. One of these forums is Anything4free. Have you ever heard of people taking surveys online for cash? Chances are you probably have or maybe you have even tried it yourself. Wondering if you can really make a living from doing these types of surveys? I would probably say no, well I take that back, it is possible but it would be very time consuming. I started out taking surveys because I am a stay at home mom and I wanted a way to make a little extra cash in my spare time, on my terms.
